Location / Pay / Hours Location: Birmingham, United Kingdom Pay: £12.60 per hour Hours: 42 hours per week (days, nights, and weekends) Qualifications / What We’re Looking For Honest, hard‑working, trustworthy, and flexible individuals Full UK manual driving licence (vehicle provided) Valid Front Line SIA Security Licence Confident, articulate, and excellent communication skills (oral and written) Immaculate appearance, polite, and proactive in customer engagement Strong customer service skills Mobile security experience desirable (but full training provided) Client‑focused with attention to detail Commitment to delivering service excellence Must have the right to work in the UK Five‑year checkable employment history or documentary evidence of any periods of unemployment, self‑employment, or education Ability to embody and uphold Securitas core values: Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness About the Role As a Mobile Patrol Officer you will deliver patrols, inspections, incident responses and other mobile security services across multiple client sites. Responsibilities Perform patrols, inspections, and incident response services across multiple client sites. Provide a visible security presence and protect customer property and assets. Check for hazards, security violations, and unauthorised personnel. Inspect buildings, grounds, and security devices. Lock/unlock premises and monitor security systems. Deliver a range of services including locks/unlocks, internal/external patrols, alarm responses, vacant property inspections, and escort services. Maintain professionalism and a helpful attitude toward clients and colleagues. Follow instructions from Team Leaders and collaborate effectively. Uniform and identification: always wear company uniform, display SIA licence and ID card. Vehicle management: complete vehicle handovers at shift start and end. Safe driving: follow the Highway Code, drive carefully and maintain company reputation. Key management: follow correct key management processes. Assignment completion: follow site instructions and dynamic risk assessments. Incident escalation: follow proper escalation for incidents, break‑ins, health/safety issues and traffic accidents. Reporting: use GRS/SMP correctly for accurate data capture and reporting. Compliance: follow SOP13 and SOP18, understand driver’s handbook. Flexibility: be willing to work across Branch Guarding districts and assist other branches. Asset security: secure company assets such as PDAs and dashcams. Additional Responsibilities Escalate incidents, risks, breakdowns, and RTAs to the Team Leader following company policy. Demonstrate understanding and engagement with Securitas values—Integrity, Vigilance, Helpfulness—and recognise workplace risks while prioritising safety. Minimum one year of mobile security experience preferred but not essential. Full UK driving licence. Valid SIA Front Line Licence. Flexibility to work days, nights, and weekends. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good verbal and communication skills. Ability to remain calm under pressure.
