Senior Staff Nurse – Oncology Location: The Wellington Hospital, St Johns Wood, London Hours: Full Time 37.5hrs Contract Type: Permanent Salary: Competitive + Fantastic Benefits We are seeking a Senior Staff Nurse to join our expert Cancer Nursing Team at The Wellington Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare UK. While this role is typically suited to Band 6 nurses, we warmly welcome applications from established Band 5 Staff Nurses with a minimum of 3 years’ post‑registration experience in haematology or oncology nursing. Applicants must also be SACT‑approved and have at least 1 year of experience independently administering chemotherapy. The purpose‑built Medical Oncology Unit includes 17 oncology beds and 2 neuroendocrine suites, delivering bespoke, patient‑centred care. You’ll be part of a skilled and supportive team delivering high standards of specialist oncology care. With a nurse‑to‑patient ratio of 1 : 4, you’ll have the autonomy to provide truly individualised treatment planning and assessments. What you’ll bring Current NMC Nurse registration Ideally a Band 6 Senior Staff Nurse, OR A Band 5 Nurse with a minimum of 3 years’ post‑registration oncology nursing experience, experience as an approved chemotherapy giver (SACT), at least 6 months of independently administered chemotherapy Strong knowledge of systemic anti‑cancer treatments (chemotherapy, immunotherapy, radiotherapy, etc.) and their side effects Why HCA UK?
