We support clients across banking, fintech, commodities, and corporate sectors, delivering expert‑led advisory services and AI‑driven tools that enhance governance and minimise regulatory risk. Our team works closely with global organisations to strengthen their KYC, AML, and financial‑crime frameworks, ensuring robust and effective controls. Role Overview We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Senior KYC Officer to oversee and manage complex Know Your Counterparty (KYC) onboarding and refresh processes across trading and non‑trading entities. This role is client‑facing and operationally critical — you will act as the primary point of contact for counterparties and internal stakeholders, coordinating KYC activities, ensuring accurate documentation, and supporting timely risk assessments. You will also contribute to process optimisation, automation, and continuous improvement of the KYC operating model. Although this role is remote, occasional international travel may be required. The position requires you to be based in the UK with full right to work. Key Responsibilities Lead the end‑to‑end KYC process for new, amended, and refreshed onboarding requests. Act as the main liaison with counterparties, ensuring all information requests are managed promptly and professionally. Gather, prepare, and maintain documentation required for due diligence, risk assessment, and credit reviews. Collaborate with stakeholders across Front Office, Operations, Compliance, Legal, Finance and Risk teams to ensure seamless onboarding. Summarise requirements, clarify complexities, and proactively resolve gaps to prevent onboarding delays. Prioritise and escalates urgent KYC requests, ensuring efficient coordination across all functions. Support the drafting, negotiation and execution of confidentiality agreements. Record outcomes of risk assessments, deviations and required approvals, maintaining clear audit trails. Track ongoing KYC activities, providing stakeholders with timely updates, reports and meeting summaries. Identify opportunities to automate and streamline KYC processes, driving operational effectiveness. Maintain accurate KYC data and documentation across internal systems and trackers. Support internal and external audits, ensuring documentation is complete and audit‑ready. Prepare and submit documentation for Compliance and Credit teams to complete verification. Provide regular reporting on KYC refresh cycles, outstanding items and key risks. What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Law, or a related field. Minimum 8 years of KYC, AML or compliance experience, ideally within commodities, energy or financial services. Strong understanding of counterparty due diligence, KYC frameworks and risk‑assessment processes. Experience working with trading, non‑trading, inbound and outbound counterparties. Knowledge of LNG trading or broader energy‑market dynamics is an advantage. Excellent stakeholder‑management skills across Front Office, Compliance, Legal, Risk and external entities. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Strong judgement, analytical thinking and attention to detail. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across multiple teams. Professional compliance qualifications (e.g., ICA, CISI, CAMS) desirable but not essential. Why Join ACS? Be part of a high‑performing compliance and financial‑crime function supporting global clients. Work on complex, high‑value onboarding cases across commodities, energy and financial markets. Exposure to diverse compliance, KYC and due‑diligence projects. Competitive compensation with flexible working arrangements. Opportunities for professional development, certifications and career progression. Collaborative environment built on integrity, expertise and continuous improvement.
