Cover Supervisor – Daily supply work in Secondary Schools across Southwark (SE1). Salary £90‑100 per day. The Role Work as a Cover Supervisor in secondary schools, covering classes and ensuring students are working on tasks while teachers are absent or engaged in other activities. Flexible basis – full school day (08:30 to 15:00). Short‑term/supply positions or full‑time contracts available. Key Responsibilities Cover classes across a full school day ensuring student engagement. Maintain classroom order and support learning during teacher absences. Collaborate with school staff to facilitate effective learning environments. Report any incidents or concerns to the headteacher. What you need to be a Cover Supervisor? No formal qualifications required, but experience working with 11‑18 year‑olds is essential. Enhanced DBS certificate (or DBS application assistance). Two recent references covering the past two years. Confident, positive, professional approach to working with young people. Ideal Candidates Graduates considering becoming secondary school teachers.
