Regulatory Management VP – Capital Management As a Regulatory Management VP within Capital Management, you’ll take the lead in managing and responding to feedback from the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) on capital submissions. You’ll be responsible for documenting how Barclays addresses regulatory input, ensuring transparency and consistency across capital processes. You’ll help shape and maintain the framework of standards and policies that underpin capital management, driving improvements and embedding best practice across the function. You’ll play a key role in designing how Barclays manages its capital, working closely with stakeholders across Finance, Treasury, and Risk. Your deep understanding of effective capital management will enable you to identify opportunities to enhance processes and strengthen the firm’s regulatory position. This is a strategic role where your ability to translate regulatory expectations into practical, forward‑looking solutions will help ensure Barclays remains resilient and well‑prepared for future challenges. Core Responsibilities Develop and implement strategies to manage the bank’s capital position, including setting capitals targets, developing capital plans, and monitoring capital adequacy. Optimize the bank’s capital structure to support growth and profitability objectives, including management of regulators’ capital requirements. Allocate capital to business units and projects based on risk‑adjusted returns and other financial metrics. Prepare and provide regular reports on the bank’s capital position, capital allocation decisions and stress‑testing results to senior colleagues, risk committees and regulatory authorities, and effectively communicate capital management strategies and risk considerations to relevant stakeholders. Lead cross‑functional initiatives, manage risk through assessment and support the control and governance agenda. Demonstrate leadership and accountability for managing risk and strengthening controls within your team and in partnership with other functions. Qualifications & Experience Previous experience in a capital or regulatory position, with a deep understanding of capital management and regulatory expectations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong business‑partnering abilities. Experience interpreting regulatory requirements and ensuring their effective implementation. Ability to translate regulatory expectations into practical, forward‑looking solutions.
