OverviewJoin to apply for the Site Engineer (Geo-Environmental) role at WSP in the UK & Ireland.The role is predominantly site based with travel to sites across the whole of the UK. The successful candidate will support large-scale ground investigations and will spend a large proportion of time on site, supervising contractors and activities related to groundwater monitoring and site works.We’re Looking For Someone WhoHas a full UK driving licence (or equivalent) – essential to the roleIs comfortable working on-siteHas the initiative to be self-motivatedDemonstrates the ability to ask questions to understand objectives and learnDemonstrates attention to detailHas excellent written and verbal communication skillsRemains calm and focused under pressureLearns quickly and adapts to changeDelivers on commitments on time and to the right qualityUnderstands own limitations and manages time effectivelyWorks well within a team and can build rapport with peersKey ResponsibilitiesCompletion of groundwater monitoringSupervision of site investigationsSupervision of field work including soil logging and environmental sampling, chemical and geotechnical testing, groundwater sampling and ground gas monitoringData collationEnsure work is delivered in line with procedures and to high safety, health and environmental standardsExperienceKnowledge of planning and supervision of site investigationsConstruction Design and Management (CDM) Regulations and their application to safe design and implementation of site investigationsData handling; GIS experience is desirableQualificationsSite safety qualifications (e.g. first aid and site supervisors safety training scheme (SSSTS) or equivalent) are desirableRelevant technical degree desirable but not essential (e.g. chemistry, biology, geology, engineering, or environmental science)Able to travel to sites across the UK as requiredDon’t quite meet all the criteria?
