Exciting Opportunity: SEN Humanities Teacher (Maternity Cover) – High Wycombe Location: High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire Salary: £27,456 – £43,014 (dependent on experience and qualifications) Start Date: November 2025 Position Type: Full‑time, Maternity Cover Sector: SEN / Therapeutic Education About The Role We are seeking a passionate and adaptable Humanities Teacher to deliver engaging, personalised lessons to students with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN) — including Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges, communication difficulties, and trauma‑related barriers to learning. In This Rewarding Role, You Will Teach Humanities subjects (History, Geography, RS, and related areas) across Key Stages, adapting lessons to meet individual learning needs. Support pupils in building curiosity, confidence, and critical thinking skills. Create a nurturing, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment. Work closely with a therapeutic, multi‑disciplinary team to promote holistic development and wellbeing. Track and assess progress, ensuring every learner achieves personal growth and success. Ideal Candidate Qualified – QTS/QTLS is essential. Experienced in SEN or therapeutic education (experience with SEMH or trauma‑informed practice highly valued).
