Our kitchens in Thirsk, Kinmel and Crick produce dry, wet, and baked foods which are enjoyed by dogs and cats all over the world.The RoleTo establish and maintain safe, compliant and effective engineering operations that continually develop the site's asset base by following the Engineering strategy for proactive work whilst responding to breakdowns.Key Responsibilities - Shift EngineerPerform planned and predictive maintenance of equipment and complete ad hoc repairs in a timely manner and by prioritising works in line with site priorities to ensure that efficient production is maintainedAssessing the need for spares by ensuring that the critical spares and spares list is up to date and stock is at the required levels Escalate any issues in a timely manner to the Engineering managerEnsuring a safe environment by conducting all servicing and maintenance activities with minimal risk to employees, products and equipment. Champion safetyUsing route cause analysis on breakdowns to identify actions and drive completion of actions to prevent re-occurrenceSupport the energy reduction and sustainability agenda to reduce environmental impacts across the site by ensuring all actions are completedParticipate in daily and weekly review sessions to drive the improvement throughout the site.Skills, Experience and Qualifications - Shift EngineerQualified or time served in Electrical and Mechanical engineering disciplinesExperienced in the use and operation of CMMSReliability Management expertise (such as FMECA, RCM, Tribology, CBM, TPM)Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)NEBOSH with a sound knowledge of behavioural safety at a site level - desirableLegionella and HACCP awareness - desirableExperience in FMCG - desirableBenefitsOvertimeEnhanced maternity/paternity/pawturnityPension: NESTEmployee contributions 4.5% / Employer contribution 3.5% - salary sacrificeOther Benefits:Free parking, free electric car charging, Spotify or Netflix subscription, Hertility, discounted products & free hot drinks.Medicash PlanYou are also able to choose a non-contractual flexible benefits, such as being able to purchase heavily discounted pet food. #J-18808-Ljbffr
