We have a great opportunity for an HGV Driver to join the team at our Hemel Hempstead branch. You will be making multi-drop deliveries of building materials around the local area in a safe and professional manner.Person & SkillsWe are looking for a positive, confident, professional and safety-focused individual who wants to provide our customers with service that goes above and beyond.The successful candidate will need to hold a HGV Category C Licence.A HIAB/ALLMI certificate and HIAB experience, as well as Moffett experience, are all preferred.Key TasksOperate HGV and associated equipment in line with licence, competence and company requirementsAssisting with loading / unloading of HGV vehicles in a safe mannerDriving an HGV vehicle in accordance with delivery scheduleMaintaining records of journey times, mileage and hours workedDelivering a safe, first-class service to our customers, both trade and retailConducting daily vehicle checks and reporting defectsOperating a tachograph in line with current legislationHealth & Safety awareness/adherenceAbout UsWith over a century of experience in the construction industry, we’re proud to be one of the UK’s largest independent builders’ merchants.
