The position offers 37.5 hours per week. The salary will be pro rata where the part time hours are undertaken. Main duties of the job The successful candidate will be sustaining and improving the training and operational effectiveness of injured Service Personnel by provision of high quality targeted rehabilitation, accelerating their return to optimal physical capacity, whilst influencing their psychological and social health. Working within the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Programme (DMRP) is to provide a high standard of exercise based rehabilitation including highly specialist work in the musculo-skeletal/sports and training injury area for the PAR, meeting Standards for Better Health1 by using a multidisciplinary approach. Developing and maintaining of their own personal, service, and professional standards to the highest attainable levels. Providing clinical reports to assist in the comprehensive discharge planning for both referring source and ongoing patient care under other health professionals. Or Full Graduate Membership of the Society of Sports Therapy (SST). Qualifications Bachelor of Science Honours (BSc (Hons)) in Sports and Exercise Rehabilitation or Sports Therapy. Or Ex-military ERI who has completed the Joint Services School of Exercise Remedial Instructor (JSSERI) course.
