We promote our young recruits because we believe fresh perspectives bring great ideas and new energy.You will be based in our Cambridge office, offering easy commuting options via Cambridge Train Station and access into Cambridge City Centre within a 10 minute walk.Key Technical RequirementsWhat we will be looking for you to demonstrateExperience as an electrical engineer in building servicesHaving an understanding of the UK and European regulations applicable to the discipline and how to demonstrate this in project execution.Have UK project experience within Building Services MEP (Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing)Have working understanding of latest electrical design software packages to allow the allocation / direction of work on projects.Have understanding of working with Revit MEP or other 3D design software to allow the allocation / direction of work on projects.Have an ability to sketch and communicate technical detail graphically and effectively.Have working knowledge of AutoCAD to allow the allocation / direction of work on projects.Electrical Design SkillsLow voltage distribution systemsLow voltage standby generationUPS systemsCable calculations (via software and by hand)Lighting calculations (via software and by hand)Small powerFire alarmsIntruder detectionAccess control & security systemsDisabled call systemsData cabling and outletsLightning protectionQualificationsBEng/Bsc/MEng in applicable engineering disciplineCIBSE / IET / Engineering Council accredited honours degree or specific experience that will lead to Chartership.Working towards IEng or CEng statusRevitMEP training applied to the disciplineDon’t quite meet all the criteria?
