You’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the production line while maintaining the highest quality and safety standards.If you’ve also worked in the following roles, we’d also like to hear from you: Production Operative, Machine Operative, Machine Setter, Manufacturing Technician, Line LeaderSALARY: £31,209 per annum + BenefitsLOCATION: Enfield, North LondonJOB TYPE: Full-Time, PermanentWORKING HOURS: Monday to Friday, Rotating Shift Pattern (Day Shift 6.00am – 3.00pm / Night Shift 3.00pm – 11.00pm)JOB OVERVIEWWe have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Senior Machine Operator / Manufacturing Line Technician who is confident working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.As a Senior Machine Operator / Manufacturing Line Technician you will ensure the safe, efficient and consistent operation of production lines from raw materials through to finished goods.The Senior Machine Operator / Manufacturing Line Technician will be responsible for maintaining quality, food safety and compliance standards, while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the site.DUTIESEnsure Safe Operations: Work proactively to maintain a safe environment and report any hazards or unsafe behavioursCarry Out Quality Checks: Complete all defined quality assurance and safety checks, including pre-start inspections and documentationMaintain Hygiene Standards: Ensure the line team adheres to hygiene schedules and that the area meets GMP requirementsMonitor Process Efficiency: Manage production and quality parameters, identify efficiency issues and escalate as requiredSupport Continuous Improvement: Engage in improvement projects to boost yield, reduce waste and improve line performanceManage Stock and Materials: Ensure materials are available and issued correctly, minimising downtime and ensuring accurate stock controlComplete Accurate Reporting: Update SIC boards, log downtime and support KPI trackingOversee Changeovers: Minimise downtime through effective planning, delegation and adherence to targetsConduct Effective Handovers: Communicate clearly with incoming teams to ensure smooth transition between shiftsCANDIDATE REQUIREMENTSKnowledge and experience in a food manufacturing or FMCG environmentStrong problem-solving abilities and attention to detailExcellent communication skills and a proactive approachExperience with stock control processes and production documentationGCSE standard in Maths and English (or equivalent)Basic food hygiene understanding (Level 2 Food Safety desirable)Awareness of Critical Control Points (desirable)Manual handling and Health & Safety knowledge (desirable)BENEFITSPension scheme with up to 10% employer matchingAnnual incentive programmeCycle to Work schemeEmployee Assistance ProgrammeAccess to the Extra Spice benefits portalFree on-site electric vehicle chargingAPPLY TODAY…By submitting your job application to us you are hereby giving us your express consent to submit your details to our Client for this purpose.JOB REF: AWDO-P14008Full-Time, Permanent Jobs, Careers and Vacancies.
