JBT currently has a great opportunity for an Assembly Technician to join the Proseal team just south of Manchester. Proseal UK Ltd designs and manufactures high‑quality tray sealing and conveying systems for the food industry and has manufacturing facilities in the UK, North America, and Australia. Established for 25 years, demand for the Proseal product is growing as we develop many plastic‑based alternatives for preserving the life of food and carrying it safely. Main Responsibilities Ensure assembly and build quality is of the highest possible standard. Ensure machinery is fully PDI'd and tested prior to delivery. Attend site for machine commissioning and breakdowns. Be self‑disciplined, proactive, and hard‑working. Demonstrate high degree of interpersonal and communication skills. Work to deadlines and delivery dates. Ensure production instructions and quality standards are met or exceeded. Escalate any build anomalies to relevant persons. Perform on‑site commissioning and customer training. Experience Principally responsible for the mechanical assembly of all sub‑ and main assemblies. Read and understand engineering drawings and pneumatic circuits. Manage and keep electronic parts lists accurate. Carry out mechanical surveys, repairs, and servicing of Proseal equipment. Perform general engineering tasks: marking out, drilling, and tapping. Work on‑site or off‑site as requested and agreed. Qualification Time served with C&G or a modern apprenticeship.
