An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Tutor post in the ECU Education team, the team dedicated to providing ongoing support for future generations of HART operatives.As part of the team, the post holder will be responsible for the development and delivery of the interoperable capabilities, and implementing changes to these courses to ensure best-practice.The ECU seeks dynamic and enthusiastic instructors with relevant and current training experience, those with the ability to share knowledge, coach individuals and ensure that each training session is patient focussed. The post holder will be passionate about delivering high quality and realistic clinical care in some of the most complex scenarios paramedics are likely to face. They must be physically fit to meet the demands of the role, ensuring training is delivered effectively and safely, often in inclement weather.Main duties of the jobThe NHS Resilience Emergency Capabilities Unit (ECU) Education Department provides training and support to Ambulance Trusts specialist interoperable capabilities.The post holder will be reporting to the ECU Training Manager. The ECU Tutor will be responsible for the development and delivery of the ECU Education programme, primarily on interoperable capabilitiesThey will be accountable for the delivery of education, providing expert knowledge, advice, skill and direction in the delivery of training interventions.This includes delivery of both clinical/technical related education, training and learning opportunities, for example, supplying specialist educational support and guidance to staff and Commanders in order to improve the dissemination of learning and facilitate the continuing professional development of staff.They will be responsible for ensuring the ongoing review, development and maintenance of quality and standards for clinical educational services and systems in relation to Interoperable Capabilities.They will work in collaboration with clinical governance and managerial colleagues to provide assessment and mentoring opportunities that will contribute to the improvement in the quality of patient care and clinical outcomes.About usOur vision is to deliver outstanding emergency and urgent care whenever and wherever needed for everyone in London, 24/7, 365 days a year. Accommodation is provided for those undertaking this unique role, where teamwork is at the very core.Job responsibilitiesFor further information on this role, please see the attached detailed Job Description and Person Specification.Person SpecificationQualificationsEducated to degree level or equivalent professional qualificationLevel 3 Award in Adult Education or specialist knowledge within the field of Interoperable Capabilities with a commitment to successfully complete the Level 5 award within 12 months of commencing the roleHCPC registered paramedicFull, current UK valid driving licence with C1 with no more than 3 penalty pointsQualified Ambulance Tutor or equivalent (Cert.Ed, PGCEd etc)Health EPRR Diploma (or be in the process of completing or able to study towards)Certificate in Practice EducationExperienceExperience in teaching / education, including delivery of practical sessionsDeveloping staff within a team contextExperience of supervising and mentoring staffExperience of working across organisational boundaries and developing multi-disciplinary professional partnershipsCurrently practising or experienced HART paramedicExperience of Incident ManagementKnowledge and SkillsKnowledge of legislation appertaining to Interoperable CapabilitiesEvidence of providing education using a wide range of information technology, including computer software programs e.g. Microsoft Teams, ZOOM, Microsoft Power point, MS Word, Excel and OutlookDisclosure and Barring Service CheckThis post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.£47,810 to £54,710 a yearThis post includes an approved Recruitment & Retention payment #J-18808-Ljbffr
