Title: Electrician Requisition ID: 9308 Sector: Construction and Building Services Location: HMYOI Wetherby, York Road, Wetherby LS22 5ED Contract: Permanent Hours: 39 hours per week, between 07:45 and 16:45 Monday to Sunday (finish at 15:45 Friday). 1 in 3 weekends on a rota basis with a 15% allowance. What you will do: Planned and preventative electrical maintenance. Respond to breakdowns ensuring all works are carried out under the appropriate Safe System of Work and in a timely manner. Actively fault find and problem solve on domestic electrical systems across the prison. Undertake electrical installation activities in accordance with the design provided and IET Wiring Regulations. Test and inspect electrical installations in accordance with the current IEE wiring regulations. Monitor and order critical spares for all electrical services. Other tasks as required by the Site. What you will bring: Ability to work alone and use initiative. Knowledge and experience of Electrical Systems and Electricity at work Regulations. Capable of working at heights. Appropriate technical qualification eg City & Guilds 2365 parts 1-3, BTEC, NVQ level 3 or above. BS7671 IET Wiring Regulations, specifically 18th Edition (sponsor to upgrade if you have 17th Edition). Experience of electrical maintenance activities, general distribution and installation and testing within a commercial environment. Experience in fire alarm systems and CCTV systems. IT skills.
