We know for extraordinary growth, that is both aggressive and unsustainable, that we must strengthen internal teams, outsmart the competitor and strategise for the future digital landscape.The core purpose of your job role.The Technical SEO Manager is a key member of House Digital’s SEO team, responsible for driving technical performance across client accounts. They will lead on technical SEO strategy, delivery, and innovation - personally owning high-impact projects and collaborating closely with Account Managers and clients to ensure our technical work directly improves performance and aligns with business goals.They will contribute to the growth of House’s technical SEO offering by using automation, AI, and scalable processes to help improve quality and efficiency. They’ll also support the wider team through knowledge sharing, helping strengthen our technical capability across the agency.WHAT you’re here to do…The responsibilities, duties & tasks you are expected to deliver when performing your job role.Technical strategy & implementationDevelop and implement technical SEO strategies across House Digital’s client base, aligned to commercial KPIs and business priorities.Deliver core technical SEO activities — from audits and health checks to migration projects — ensuring recommendations drive measurable improvements in visibility, traffic and conversions.Collaborate with colleagues and clients to scope, prioritise and implement technical changes.Contribute to meaningful client reports and performance reviews, ensuring technical activity is clearly linked to outcomes.Monitor and analyse client performance using server log analysis, crawl data, analytics platforms and dashboards.Stay up to date on algorithm changes, SEO trends, and SERP innovations - proactively evolving our strategies in response.Support improvements to the speed and quality of technical outputs by contributing ideas for automation, dashboards, scripts, or AI workflows.Help develop and refine technical SEO processes, templates, and documentation, making our work more consistent and scalable.Help maintain templates, documentation and tools that strengthen technical SEO delivery across the team.Share ideas that keep our technical SEO work modern and effective.Client consulting & communicationAct as the lead technical consultant on priority accounts - offering commercial, data-led advice in both written and verbal formats.Join client meetings and pitches to present strategies, explain technical issues and outline ROI opportunities.Identify and scope upsell and cross-sell opportunities across your client portfolio and support the new business process.Work closely with SEO Account Managers to ensure all technical deliverables are understood, implemented and integrated into the wider digital strategy.People & cultureRun or contribute to internal training sessions, knowledge shares and innovation sprints.Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, shared learning and technical excellence.Help manage internal workflows, support SEO team members and escalate risks to leadership where needed.Ensure that timesheets are completed accurately and on time.Promote a positive, inclusive and collaborative team culture.Champion House Digital's values: total transparency, continual improvement, strong team spirit, and prioritising fun.In addition, you will be expected to undertake any other task, deemed to be reasonable and appropriate to this role, as directed by your line manager.HOW you will deliver in the job role…The knowledge and experience you are expected to apply when performing your job role.3+ years’ hands-on experience in technical SEO, ideally within an agency or consultancy setting.Track record of driving meaningful performance improvements through technical work on complex websites.Experience leading technical audits, website migrations, and complex technical SEO areas such as site speed optimisation.Skilled in advanced technical SEO techniques, including server log analysis, rendering diagnostics, and international SEO.Confident using key SEO tools such as Screaming Frog, Sitebulb, Ahrefs, Semrush, Google Search Console, GA4, Looker Studio.Experience collaborating directly with account/project managers, digital designers and marketers in an agile workflow.Strong analytical skills with the ability to prioritise issues based on effort vs. impact.Clear written and verbal communicator -
