Domestic/Laundry AssistantLocation: Elm Bank Care Home, Hexham, NE46 1HWJob Type: Permanent, Part-time (20 hours per week, includes occasional evenings and weekends)Seniority Level: Entry levelBase Pay Range: This range is provided by Marton Care Homes. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.What You’ll Be DoingLaundry DutiesCollect, sort, wash and fold laundry items (e.g., clothing, bed linen, towels). Operate washing machines, dryers and ironing/pressing equipment safely and efficiently. Label or identify personal laundry if required. Ensure infection control procedures are followed and report any faulty equipment or maintenance issues. Domestic/Cleaning DutiesClean designated areas including bedrooms, bathrooms, communal areas and kitchens. Vacuum, dust, mop, disinfect surfaces and remove rubbish, as needed. Refill supplies such as soap, toilet paper and paper towels. Follow cleaning schedules and procedures in accordance with hygiene and safety standards.
