Our client, a respected childcare provider in Deddington, Oxfordshire, is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Part‑time Play Practitioner to join their team and cover Breakfast and Afterschool Club. The successful candidate will create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that promotes the physical, emotional and social development of children in our care. Key Responsibilities Plan and facilitate engaging play activities that promote learning and development. Observe and assess children’s progress, maintaining accurate records and sharing insights with parents and colleagues. Ensure the safety and well‑being of children at all times, adhering to the client’s policies and procedures. Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues, fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment. Maintain a clean, organised and well‑resourced play area. Assist with daily routines such as meals, naps and toileting. What We’re Looking For Experience working with children in a similar setting. A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A creative and resourceful approach to planning and delivering activities. A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices in early years education. Our client offers a competitive salary of £12.50 per hour, depending on experience, along with opportunities for training and career progression within the organisation. This part‑time position is ideal for individuals looking to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young children while maintaining a healthy work‑life balance. Additional Information DBS check required. First Aider certification preferred. Part‑time hours: 9–15 hours per week, with flexibility to cover shifts as needed. Term time – Breakfast and After School.
