OverviewPurpose of Role A Production Supervisor ensures the smooth running of processes on a production floor. Their duties include overseeing the management of resource with overall responsibility of driving performance management, including routine production activities, troubleshooting and solving issues that arise on the production floor whilst ensuring a safe and clean production workspace.DetailsLevel: M3Department: ProductionLocation: HuntingdonResponsibilitiesCreate and execute the daily production schedule.Plan and coordinate the resources, raw materials, and staff to ensure production is carried out in a smooth and effective way.Take the lead in managing, motivating, and directing the production workforce.Monitor and review team capability with management to ensure staff are focused on key objectives and developed to maximise potential.Ensure enough staff are available to perform jobs to the required standard and staff are trained to be commensurate with their work activity.Liaise with the maintenance department to ensure all equipment is in working order and maintained.Facilitate communication within the Production department to share relevant information promptly.Collaborate with other departments across the business to drive efficiency within manufacturing.Update and analyse daily KPI metrics and report any deviations from the target; help complete an action plan and investigate root causes.Challenge and review processes and procedures, exploring continuous improvement techniques to reduce cost while maintaining quality and safety.Complete audit programs to ensure all standard procedures are adhered to and any non-conformances are investigated and closed out.Knowledge, Experience And QualificationsStrong leadership experience of inspiring and motivating employees to achieve their best.Experience of building positive relationships with employees which fosters a supportive work environment.Demonstrable experience of addressing performance issues promptly and fairly.Experience of developing the team through talent management and succession planning.Hands-on experience within a manufacturing environment to make robust decisions.Planning of a manufacturing line.Good time management and the ability to meet deadlines while being thorough and flexible.Problem solving and attention to detail.Experience in a manufacturing/clean room environment is desirable, including knowledge of print-head assembly, test processes and electromechanical assembly.Skills & BehavioursAble to work autonomously to make decisions but know when to escalate.Highly motivated, results-oriented, and solution driven.Demonstrates commitment to leadership decisions.Able to express and communicate a vision and objectives.Able to demonstrate leadership while being highly visible to all employees.Able to motivate and manage people with varying skill levels and thrive in a growing, demanding manufacturing environment.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.IT literate (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).ApplicationPlease click the Apply for this job icon to upload your CV and start your application. #J-18808-Ljbffr
