About the Role Electrical Maintenance Engineer / Electrical Maintenance Technician Salary £44,000 to £48,000 per annum + overtime (paid at 1.5x and 2.0x) and benefits (£50k+ with overtime potential) Hours 6am till 6pm, 4 on & 4 off – Permanent Days Location Commutable from Horsham, Crawley, Worthing, Haywards Heath, East Grinstead, Southwater, Shoreham and surrounding areas Company A large and growing manufacturing company that offers challenging and rewarding careers to their Maintenance Engineers. We are looking for an individual who wants to be part of an established, loyal and successful team. Responsibilities Electrical biased role focusing on Electrical Maintenance Engineering in the factory across a 12‑hour shift pattern. Maintain all plant and machinery through fault finding, planned preventive maintenance and various project work, including refurbishments and installations. Troubleshoot/fault find on Siemens and other PLC equipment. Maintain sensors, relays, contactors, drives, AC/DC motors, 3‑phase electrics etc. within the factory. Work in an Electrical Team and liaise with the Mechanical Team on engineering matters. Provide input in the ongoing development of machinery and systems. Ensure safe working at all times with a right‑first‑time attitude to produce a cost‑effective, quality product while adhering to company policies and procedures. Identify solutions that improve efficiency and reduce costs. Communicate effectively to colleagues and production and keep required logs of work and hours. Develop an understanding of machinery operation so faults can be diagnosed and rectified efficiently. Requirements Completed a recognised electrical engineering apprenticeship or hold electrical engineering qualifications. Electrical maintenance, service or installation background. Electrical experience of any of the following: 3‑phase, star/delta motors, drives, sensors, inverters, PLCs (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Omron etc.), contactors, relays, control panels, servo drives. Experience in a similar field such as manufacturing, industrial or automation. Any mechanical experience desirable but not essential if you have a desire to learn and take on training. Friendly and adaptable working attitude, with hunger and desire to learn and grow.
