Overview Sales Director: A sales management role responsible for developing and executing the commercial strategy for this industry leading UK building products manufacturer. The focus is on driving and increasing market share with national and regional house builders, most of which they already work with. Location: National role, Midlands/Centrally based. Location and travel expectations to be confirmed. Salary: £70k-£75k basic with a £10k uncapped bonus scheme. Benefits include Family Bupa healthcare, management team pension, hybrid company car, and 24 days holiday. Company/products: GRP Canopies, Dormers, Chimneys, Bay Windows and Door Surrounds. Customers include national house builders, regional developers and housing associations. Responsibilities Develop and execute the commercial strategy, with a focus on driving and increasing market share with national and regional house builders. Lead, coach and mentor a small team of 3 field sales representatives and 3 office-based estimating/pre-construction specialists. Conduct dual visits with the field sales team and personally manage relationships with house builders at head office level. Strengthen relationships with purchasing, handle negotiations, and lay the foundations for the team to engage with regional offices. Work closely with the internal estimating team to review drawings, carry out designs, and calculate pricing. Collaborate with internal stakeholders across production, finance, marketing and other functions. Qualifications / Successful Applicant Leadership skills and experience managing a small team. Proven sector experience selling into house builders. Skilled negotiator with a good understanding of the procurement process. Strategic thinker with strong relationship-building skills.
