Sales EngineerNewark, Full Time, PermanentSalary £50,000 - £55,000 DOE + £500 per month Car Allowance or Car Our Newark based client has an exciting opportunity for a Sales Engineer to join their growing team on a full time, permanent basis. The role will focus on identifying and converting new and existing opportunities with a strategic plan to expand into mainland Europe. THE ROLE As a Sales Engineer, you’ll be responsible for generating enquiries, building relationships, quoting and closing sales, as well as: Developing and implementing a targeted sales strategy. Identifying and pursuing new market sectors and customer segments. Managing a pipeline of qualified leads, quotes and sales opportunities. Conducting client visits, delivering presentations, and performing product demonstrations. Collaborating with internal teams (fabrication, engineering, logistics) to ensure customer satisfaction. Attending industry events, exhibitions, and networking opportunities. Providing market feedback to the Plant Director on trends and customer needs. Supporting marketing efforts with technical input and case studies. Ensuring all tasks on site are carried out safely and in accordance with company Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental policies, Integrated Management System and method statements. THE CANDIDATES The ideal Sales Engineer will have experience in technical sales within construction, ground engineering or tooling, as well as: Experience with CRM systems and sales reporting tools. Strong understanding of piling equipment and site operations. Self‑motivated, proactive, and results driven. Able to travel across the UK and Europe as required. Commercially astute with strong negotiation skills. Organised and able to manage multiple priorities. Familiarity with European markets is a plus. Full UK driving licence.
