PTHP Lecturer - Brickwork Salary: £26.82 per hour (pay award pending) Hours: Varied – maximum 24 per week Weeks per year: 38 per year Contract type: Casual Site: Accrington and Rossendale College Closing date: Midnight, Sunday 30 November 2025 Interview date: Tuesday 9 December 2025 About the Role A new opportunity for a talented and student‑focused Lecturer – Brickwork to join our Construction & Motor Vehicle team on a part‑time hourly paid basis. The role involves teaching across the Brickwork and Groundworks provision, from Entry Level to Level 3. The successful candidate will develop the Brickwork curriculum and build employer relationships to support industry placements. The role will be primarily based at our Accrington & Rossendale College campus, however travel across sites may be required. This post may suit an experienced practitioner, a newly qualified teacher, or a trainee teacher seeking support with their teaching qualification. Responsibilities Plan and prepare high‑quality teaching to the required hours. Develop and share resources for the course/subject, maintaining effective college‑wide links. Deliver enrichment and enhancement activities. Maintain comprehensive and up‑to‑date student/course/subject records and provide information when requested. Administer exam entries for the course/subject and liaise with external awarding bodies as appropriate. Qualifications Minimum GCSE grade C (or equivalent) in Maths and English. Degree or higher‑level qualification in a relevant subject area or appropriate professional qualification. Recognised teaching qualification (or willingness to achieve one within the first 3 years of appointment). Assessor and Verifier qualifications.
