Job Title Care Assistant / Support Worker Location Minehead Role Summary As a Care Assistant, you will provide high-quality, compassionate care to clients in a residential, nursing, or home care setting. You will support individuals with their daily living activities, ensuring their dignity, comfort, and well-being at all times. Key Responsibilities Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Support clients with mobility, transfers, and safe use of equipment. Administer medication under supervision, following care plans and health & safety procedures. Prepare and serve meals, ensuring dietary requirements are met. Monitor clients physical and emotional well-being, reporting any changes to senior staff. Maintain accurate care records and documentation. Promote independence and encourage social engagement. Assist with household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment. Follow all safeguarding policies and procedures to protect vulnerable adults. Skills & Qualifications Previous experience in care or support work preferred but not always essential. Compassionate, patient, and reliable. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Awareness of health and safety, infection control, and safeguarding practices.
