Utility Solutions Apprentice - Sleaford Join E.ON UK as a Utility Solutions Apprentice as part of our Lighting & Grid team within the UK Energy Infrastructure Solutions business. You will be involved in power engineering cable jointing and street lighting installation, service and maintenance across the Sleaford area. Location: Units 4 and 5, The Reservation, The Compound, East Road, Sleaford, NG34 7BY Salary: £15,348 What you'll be doing Learning practical skills in utility solutions technology from local depot to public highway and construction sites. Attending block release training programmes to obtain formal qualifications and trade skills such as plant operation and live electrical connections to the underground power distribution network. Working closely with experienced professionals and mentors to develop a comprehensive understanding of the power engineering industry. Contributing to E.ON’s sustainability and efficiency goals through hands‑on project work. What we need from you A minimum of 5 GCSEs (grades A‑C / 9‑4) including Maths, English and Science. Real interest in engineering shown through relevant work placements, studies, hobbies or projects. Passion for safety and personal protective equipment requirements. Completed the minimum school‑leaving requirements and age 18 or older. Team‑oriented with confidence to work independently when required. Benefits 26 days holiday + bank holidays.
