Building Services Officer Abbey Lane Childrens Centre Salary per annum: £30 288 - £31 611 Location : Abbey Lane Childrens Centre The role is onsite full-time, Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week. Closing date : 16th October 2025 Hours : Full-time 36 hours per week, exact working hours to be agreed with the site. We’re looking for a hands‑on reliable Building Services Officer to support the day‑to‑day running of the Abbey Lane Childrens Centre. You’ll be responsible for maintaining a safe, clean and functional environment for staff and service users. Key Duties Opening / closing the building and managing access Fire alarm and compliance checks (weekly / monthly) Minor maintenance and repairs (e.g. lighting blockages) Routine building inspections and safety reporting Room setup and porterage duties Site cleaning hygiene and infection control Acting as First Aider and Fire Warden About You Facilities or caretaking experience Knowledge of Health & Safety standards Flexible, practical and team‑oriented Willing to work on‑site full‑time (no hybrid option) A clear enhanced DBS check is required Apply now if you’re committed to high standards and want to make a real impact in a vital community setting.
