Overview The Trust’s Clinical Legal Services team is within the Trust’s Quality & Assurance Directorate and is led by the Head of Clinical Legal Services. The team provides the following core services: Clinical negligence and personal injury claims advice, management and support. Coroner’s Inquests advice, management and support. Healthcare law advice, management and support. The Claims and Inquests Paralegal Apprentice will undertake, under supervision, the day‑to‑day administrative tasks required to support the Clinical Legal Services Team, focusing particularly on claims and inquests services. The post-holder will be expected to cross‑cover for the Claims and Inquests Managers and for the other Paralegal Apprentice when necessary to support team resilience. Details of the main responsibilities are set out in the attached Job Description and Person Specification. Interviews for shortlisted applicants are planned to take place in person on Wednesday 17th December 2025. Eligibility and Restrictions Existing legal qualification or training: Apprenticeship training must be materially different from prior qualification. For example, a holder of a law degree is ineligible. Applicants cannot be enrolled in any other form of education, full‑ or part‑time. Predicted grades do not meet the minimum educational entry requirements; applicant must have qualifications at the time of application.
