Establishing and leading the finance function for 2 growing SMEs Benefits include a bonus, healthcare, life assurance & pension Board-level opportunity North England based, across 2 sites Are you looking for an opportunity to take ownership of your own finance function within a manufacturing business? Well, this Finance Director role can offer you that for not one, but two businesses. It's 2 small businesses (circa £1m and £3m turnover) that make highly specialised equipment, and they're looking for someone who can become part of their senior leadership teams and hold responsibility for all financial aspects of each company's strategy. Both are growing, both are investing to support that growth, and they need your commercial insight to help make this happen. With products exported globally, you will be investigating, summarising, reporting on, and making recommendations on how to improve the businesses. You will lead the finance teams (each has 1 FTE) and providing a high-quality service to all stakeholders. This would be a significant step forward for an experienced accountant looking to contribute to shaping a business's future strategy. Your time will be split between their two offices, so you'll ideally live in or around the North Pennines. You will report to both MDs and be responsible for: Ensuring company financial systems are robust, compliant, as well as supporting future business growth. Work closely with the Senior Management Team to strategise, analyse and manage, ensuring finance is involved in key business decisions. Managing the company's accounting function, including creating financial reporting packs with analysis, statutory accounts and presenting annual accounts to the Board. Leading financial forecasting processes. Providing commercial finance support to the wider management teams, including things like margin analysis, pricing strategy, and reviewing stock provisioning policies. The Candidate: Finance Director You will be an experienced accountant who likes to take a hands‑on approach to all company finance matters, and you'll also have the following: Experienced in financial management within a manufacturing environment. Fully Qualified ACCA / CIMA / ACA; Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence at all levels; Strategic thinker who is self‑motivated and focused on continuous improvement #J-18808-Ljbffr
