Renewables includes onshore/offshore wind, solar, hydropower, carbon capture, alternative fuels, hydrogen, and energy demand assessment. The team supports projects from feasibility to detailed design and site construction supervision in the UK, Ireland, and across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).Role: Associate Director - Structural Engineer – Renewable Energy. You will be a senior team member responsible for developing and leading project delivery, maintaining client relationships, and growing the team’s technical engineering capabilities. You will review and generate technical and contractual information from internal and external sources.Responsibilities include:Liaise with clients, manage project work on a day-to-day basis and ensure delivery within timescales and budgets.Coordinate multi-disciplinary design of renewable energy infrastructure.Respond to technical queries raised by project teams.Act as Lead Verifier on projects including technical feasibility studies and design reports in the capacity of lead structural engineer.Direct junior staff and mentor graduate engineers.Projects include technologies such as on and offshore wind, solar PV, hydroelectric (run of river and pumped storage), grid connection works, hydrogen production and storage, and battery energy storage systems (BESS).QualificationsHere’s what we’re looking for:BEng (Hons) degree in Civil or Structural EngineeringChartered status or actively working towards chartershipContractor Design Approval Engineer (CDAE) certification is advantageousRole requires a strong technical focus in structural engineering, preferably with energy sector experience in renewables.
