Project Assistant – Global Methane Politics University of Leeds Join the Global Methane Politics project (METH‑POL), a five‑year European Research Council‑funded initiative focusing on methane emissions and reduction strategies. Role Overview The Project Assistant will support the Principal Investigator, Professor Jan Selby, by assisting with project delivery, researcher recruitment, process setup, communications, logistics, and secretarial duties. Responsibilities Assist with the recruitment of Post‑Doctoral and PhD Researchers. Set up research management processes and maintain project records. Manage project communications, including the website and social media profiles. Organise project events, engagement activities, and travel for research fieldwork. Provide secretarial support across the project team. Act as a core member of the research team from project launch (January 2026). Qualifications Experience in providing administrative support and excellent organisational skills. Strong interpersonal and communication abilities. Independent, proactive working style across diverse activities. Interest in environmental policy and politics. Benefits 26 days holiday plus approximately 16 bank holidays (≈ 42 days a year).
