About the Role

A friendly and high-achieving Tower Hamlets primary school is seeking a motivated Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their Year 5 team from January 5th. This role is ideal for a graduate hoping to gain strong classroom experience before pursuing teacher training or a career in education.

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will provide one-to-one and group support, help deliver interventions in core subjects, and work alongside the class teacher to raise attainment. You will also assist with lesson preparation, behaviour routines, and general classroom organisation.

The Ideal Candidate

The school hopes to recruit a Graduate Teaching Assistant who:

Holds a degree (English, Maths, Psychology, Sociology, Education, Humanities all welcome)

Has tutoring, mentoring, or classroom experience (desirable)

Can communicate clearly and build supportive relationships with KS2 pupils

Is proactive, reliable, and committed to pupil progress

Has an enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
