Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available
As part of the Asset Management function within SSEN Distribution, you will lead and manage a team of professional Asset Standards Engineers to develop specifications and standards to optimise the procurement, installation, inspection, maintenance, operation, replacement and decommissioning of our SSEN assets.
- Lead, engage, develop and manage the team in accordance with the SSE Leadership Blueprint. Give clear direction to the team and engage them in building a proud team developing and owning the delivery of plans to get to the desired state.
- Provide Technical Authority from the team to lead and report on asset failure/defect investigations.
- The successful candidate is required to develop thinking to improve resilience in our teams and ensure that competent engineers with the appropriate qualifications and experience are employed.
To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:
- Proven ability to lead a team of technical staff.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and engagement skills.
- Ability to deliver within challenging timescales, and effectively prioritise, plan and organise, balancing immediate and longer-term business priorities.
- Change management experience relating to implementing new specifications and standards.
