The role can be based at any of our offices, with hybrid working arrangements available. Occasional travel to other offices or client sites may be required, depending on project needs. Key Responsibilities Effectively manage an individual caseload, and delegate to and provide supervision to more junior members of the team as required. Foster relationships with existing and new clients. Ensure that all clients receive an excellent service. Work in a collegiate and collaborative way within an immediate Team and wider Firm environment. Communicate promptly and effectively both internally to colleagues and externally to clients. Continuing your professional development and staying updated with legal developments in the field. To carry out your work for both colleagues and clients to the highest possible standard, having regard to the Firm's standards, procedures and core values. Work with the Business Development & Marketing Team in order to develop the Firm's reputation and client base. Feed into the budget process annually, and take responsibility for the financial performance of the Construction team. Requirements Essential An experienced Solicitor or Barrister working and with a good level of experience in non‑contentious and contentious construction matters. Experienced effective manager / supervisor. The ideal candidate will have the potential to market the firm and should have a strong interest in business development. Typical business development opportunities would include, but are not limited to: attending seminars and networking events, presenting workshops to the firm's clients and being involved in pitches/tenders. The candidate should be able to evidence diversity and experience in the construction and infrastructure sector. A strong commitment to career development and further learning. Desirable Experience working within the Education, Charity and Public Sectors funding arena would be advantageous. The ideal candidate will be dual qualified in both law and construction, holding senior membership of a chartered professional institution, MRICS, MCIOB or similar. Specialist qualifications in Alternative Dispute Resolution, particularly arbitration and adjudication, and membership of the Charted Institute of Arbitrators would be advantageous.
