The Role;
This CNC Milling Shift Supervisor vacancy is going to allow you to work within a precision manufacturing business, producing parts for some really cool industries and projects. On a daily basis you can expect to be part programming, setting and operating on 3, 4 and 5 axis mills. The work can be varied as they are a sub-contractor, so can be anything from 1 off's to small batch runs.
You will be the 'go to' person on the shift, offering your expertise and advice to other machinists on the shopfloor. At the end of the shift, you will be the person understanding what jobs are still on the machine, what needs completing and what is top priority, to pass on to the other shift supervisor on the opposite shift pattern This will ensure a seamless transition between the shifts and minimise downtime on the machines.
The Business;
They are an established sub contract manufacturer who have gone through a re-vamp in recent years, they have earnt themselves a great reputation within the Automotive and Motorsport industries for their work. As a business they have some ambitious growth plans which the manufacturing team plays a key role of hitting those targets. You can expect a modest working environment that has been recently re-furbished with new machines, gym equipment, kitchen and modern meeting rooms. The company offers a generous benefits scheme consisting of 25 days annual leave and various insurances and pensions.
What we need from you;
Set and operate CNC Mills - Up to 5 axis
Previous production work or distributing workload across the shopfloor.
Overall strong engineering and metal cutting knowledge to offer expertise to others
