CAMHS Assistant Practitioner | Lancashire

Overview This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team within CAMHS. You will support the Multi-Disciplinary Team with therapeutic interventions for children, young people, their families and carers within a systemic and holistic framework, promoting and improving their well-being. Responsibilities Provide support to the clinical team to boost capacity, including delegated tasks such as managing resources, school observations, multi-agency liaison, networking, telephone support, and supporting particular clinics/groups. Work, under supervision, with children, young people, parents and carers in a variety of ways to help support clinical care, offering interventions such as anxiety management, behavioural activation and parenting support. Develop good working relationships with children/families/partner agencies/schools. Liaise with other professionals to ensure an integrated multi-agency approach for the child and family/carers. Actively contribute to implementing the safeguarding agenda within the service in partnership with the Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust Safeguarding Team. Qualifications and Requirements Good verbal and written communication skills. Desire to work with children and young people and to collaborate effectively within a busy multi-disciplinary team. Ability to manage a small caseload with support from the case manager, provide group support, and work independently when required. A means of transport is essential. Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check. Working Arrangements Flexible working patterns such as term time, part time, compressed hours, flexi-time and career breaks are considered.
