We're proud to lead the way in renewable energy generation, and we're now looking for a CHP Programme Manager to help us maintain and enhance our Combined Heat and Power (CHP) fleet. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in supporting our renewable energy goals and ensuring our assets continue to perform at the highest level.About the RoleAs CHP Programme Manager, you'll be responsible for managing the capital maintenance programme across our CHP fleet. You will be required to balance the best standards for Health and Safety on site with a keen eye on costs as you manage our £35m programme across AMP8. You will need to be self‑motivated and a great all‑rounder to deliver the projects from cradle to grave. You'll work closely with site operational teams to minimise disruption during major overhauls and engine replacements. From obtaining quotations and managing budgets to commissioning and snagging, you'll ensure every project is completed to the highest standards. You'll also handle project completion activities, including capitalisation, handover to operations, and full documentation.Collaboration and ReportingThis role involves regular reporting to the Bioresources leadership board, providing updates on programme progress and performance. You'll also be expected to develop innovative solutions to support increased biogas production and adopt improved technologies that enhance our renewable energy capabilities.Key ResponsibilitiesYou’ll drive the delivery of capital works, develop programmes in collaboration with operational and construction teams, and ensure accurate recording of time and costs. Working closely with contractors and internal teams, you’ll support the delivery of high‑quality projects and liaise with commercial functions to ensure successful execution of maintenance service contracts.What We're Looking ForTo succeed in this role, you need either an engineering qualification in a relevant discipline or a strong technical background in gas or electrical projects, with at least five years' experience in the wastewater or anaerobic digestion (AD) industry. Qualifications such as IOSH and experience managing contractors under CDM guidance are essential.
