RG Consultancy are working closely with an excellent distribution company located in Huddersfield who are looking for a commercial part qualified or qualified finance manager to join them on a full time permanent basis. This role will be working closely with the wider finance team and report into the financial director. The company are a fast-growing, £50m approx. turnover distribution business serving a diverse customer base across the UK and Europe. With a strong reputation for quality, service, and innovation, we are now seeking a commercially focused finance professional to help drive profitable growth and operational excellence. Role Overview The Commercial Finance Manager will play a key role in partnering with the leadership team to shape business strategy, improve financial performance, and enhance decision-making across the organisation. Key Responsibilities Act as a strategic business partner to commercial, sales, and operations teams, providing financial analysis and insight to support decision-making. Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Produce robust financial models to evaluate pricing strategies, margin improvement, and investment opportunities. Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs), highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities. Support commercial negotiations with customers and suppliers, providing clear financial input and recommendations. Drive improvements in financial reporting, systems, and processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency. Oversee month-end and management reporting, ensuring high-quality information for senior leadership. Manage and develop a small finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Support working capital management, cashflow forecasting, and cost control initiatives. Provide ad hoc analysis and project support to the Finance Director and senior leadership team. Skills and Experience Required Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with strong post-qualification experience in a commercial finance or business partnering role.
