MPS2 - MPS 6A lovely, welcoming one-form-entry, primary school in Hackney are looking for an experienced teacher to join their team from January 2026.

The Role

In this Primary PPA Teacher role you will be covering classes from Reception to Year 6 to provide class teachers cover for planning preparation and assessment. You will work alongside the class teacher to arrange what is required for each lesson. For the most part the planning will be provided, although you may have some input in certain classes/subjects. You should have experience teaching across all primary year groups and have good curriculum knowledge and a positive approach to classroom management.

Your days will be timetabled, but you will need to be flexible and adaptable to cover absences or changes at the last minute across the whole school.

This is offered on a full-time contract basis from January 2026 to July 2026.
You must hold QTS and have a minimum of 1 years teaching experience
Due to the nature of this position, the school are not able to offer ECT inductionYou must hold QTS and have a minimum of 2 years teaching experience in a primary school.

This popular, culturally and ethnically diverse primary school is based in Hackney with good transport links. The school is part of a federation who believe in the value of a fully rounded education. Pupils have access to experiences, arts, sporting activities and life experiences alongside good quality, academic learning.

Whilst the 3 schools in the federation operate independently on a day-to-day basis, they work closely together to make sure all pupils have a consistent learning experience. There is a sensible approach to work/life balance for staff and support from leadership teams in the schools is excellent. Consequently, the overall feel of the schools across the federation is positive and harmonious.
