This includes recognition of our strong contribution towards meeting Local Skills Needs under the latest version of the Education Inspection Framework (EIF).ResponsibilitiesYou will primarily be responsible for the care and education of students with disabilities or learning difficulties. Working under the direction of the Lead Support Tutor for additional learning support, specific duties include assisting students in their work; preparation of rooms, equipment and materials, tracking learner progress as well as general individual assistance which may include attending to their health, safety, physical and hygiene needs.Qualifications and requirementsQualified to at least Level 2 in Literacy and Numeracy (GCSE equivalent).Relevant experience or qualifications in an education or caring capacity, particularly supporting students or young people with learning difficulties and/or other disabilities.Good knowledge of safeguarding and equal opportunities.A Level 2 note taking qualification or equivalent is desirable.Good communication skills, enthusiasm, self-motivation, and the ability to motivate others with strong organisational skills.
