Your day-to-day activities will involve reviewing complex financial documents, preparing detailed reports for both internal stakeholders and external authorities, supporting audits with precise documentation, and collaborating with colleagues across finance functions. You will also play an integral part in transfer pricing initiatives and offer technical guidance on evolving tax matters. Success in this role will come from your ability to balance meticulous attention to detail with effective communication skills—ensuring deadlines are met while fostering positive relationships throughout the business. Your proactive approach will help maintain robust compliance standards while contributing valuable insights into strategic decision‑making.Key responsibilitiesOversee direct, indirect, and employment tax compliance, reporting, and payments across the group to ensure full adherence with all statutory obligations in multiple jurisdictions.Review monthly VAT returns, prepare corporation tax footnotes and disclosures, and manage annual corporate tax return submissions for key entities within the group.Conduct thorough reviews of annual financial statements and tax returns for subsidiaries, ensuring accuracy and timely submission to relevant statutory bodies.Manage annual submissions such as PMI reports to HMRC and PAYE settlement agreements, maintaining up-to-date compliance with UK requirements.Prepare annual US tax returns, Delaware Franchise returns, FINBAR returns for Panama entities, and calculate quarterly tax instalments for various jurisdictions.Assist the Tax Director by gathering documentation for audits or investigations—including post‑entry customs audits—and preparing updated calculations relating to audit liabilities or provisions.Collaborate closely with the Finance department on dividend payments from subsidiaries and ensure accurate internal quarterly reporting across all group entities.Review quarterly tax reporting packages from affiliates, reconcile tax accounts, prepare income tax summaries, memos, top‑up charges, and year‑end calculations for UK entities.Oversee the entire withholding tax process for the group with support from junior staff members while providing guidance on ad hoc queries related to third‑party licensees.Support transfer pricing documentation preparation by compiling financial data and reviewing final reports; provide technical advice on all aspects of taxation as required.What you bring:To excel as Tax Manager in this highly respected organisation, you will bring proven experience from previous roles involving complex multinational tax issues—ideally gained within large‑scale commercial environments. Your background should include hands‑on involvement in direct/indirect taxation as well as exposure to transfer pricing regulations.
