Job Title: Estimator Location: Honley, West Yorkshire (Hybrid Working Available) Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 + £5,000 Car Allowance + Discretionary Bonus About the Company Our client is a leading expert in joinery manufacturing and interior fit‑out projects. They have a strong reputation for delivering high‑quality, tailored solutions in the commercial and residential sectors. The business is growing, and they are looking for an experienced Estimator to join their dynamic team. The Role As the Estimator, you will be instrumental in ensuring the success of projects from the very beginning. Working closely with the Managing Director, you will develop comprehensive tenders, conduct site surveys, and assist in business development initiatives. This is a hands‑on role that requires a keen understanding of fit‑out and internal works, especially when there is limited information to work with. Key Responsibilities Tendering & Estimating: Develop accurate and detailed tenders for a range of interior fit‑out and joinery projects, working from first principles. Site Surveys: Conduct site surveys when pricing projects to ensure comprehensive and realistic cost estimates. Business Development: Collaborate on client meetings and opportunities to expand the business. Tender Development: Use Excel and other tools to develop and manage tenders, ensuring all relevant costs are considered and appropriately priced. Collaboration: Work closely with project teams to ensure tender assumptions and expectations align with project goals. Experience & Qualifications Significant experience in estimating and tendering for interior fit‑out, joinery manufacturing, or related sectors. A solid understanding of the challenges that come with pricing projects with limited initial information. Proficiency in Excel and other estimating tools. Strong attention to detail, with the ability to make informed decisions and spot potential risks early on. Excellent communication skills to liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal teams. A proactive approach to business development and an ability to build lasting client relationships. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to hybrid working. Benefits Competitive salary (£50,000 - £60,000 per year, depending on experience). £5,000 car allowance. Discretionary bonus based on performance.
