Level 3 Trainee Accountant Location: Brighton Contract: Full-time Are you ready to take your accounting career to the next level? Why this role matters You’ll be at the heart of producing critical regulatory reports (Solvency UK / II FCA) and supporting our actuarial and finance teams with accurate timely analysis. Your work will help ensure compliance, strengthen decision‑making and maintain the integrity of our financial systems. What you’ll do Deliver Solvency UK / II reporting including qualitative templates and the Solvency Financial Condition Report Provide analysis for actuarial surplus reviews Maintain and manage the reporting timetable, collaborating across finance and actuarial teams Prepare quarterly, half‑yearly and annual FCA and MiFID returns Produce monthly Capital Management analysis for subsidiary companies Support year‑end audits when required Partner with the Deputy Group Financial Controller and wider team to meet key objectives Contribute to broader finance initiatives and process improvements Qualifications Final stage CIMA or ACCA studies Strong communication and organisational skills Ability to meet tight deadlines with exceptional attention to detail A proactive, adaptable and positive mindset Solid analytical and problem‑solving skills Financial services experience and technical accounting knowledge Confident user of Excel (including advanced formulas) and PowerPoint Why join us Be part of a collaborative team that values innovation and continuous improvement.
