Engineering Manager – (Area lead) Site Specific Design Join to apply for the Engineering Manager – (Area lead) Site Specific Design role at Rolls‑Royce SMR Role Title: Engineering Manager Salary: £68,000 – £90,000 DOE Locations: Derby, Manchester, Warrington About the role: We are Rolls‑Royce SMR and we’re doing something that’s never been done before, revolutionising an industry. Key Responsibilities Lead the multi‑disciplinary development of the area on the site‑specific RR SMR power station design. Integrate and coordinate the site‑specific design activities on a RRSMR development project as one of the engineering leaders within the project team. Interface and collaborate across the entire programme, internally and externally, guiding the site‑specific design for integration with the generic development of the RRSMR. Plan and deliver engineering deliverables for the area to meet client programme needs. Work with the senior engineering manager and project management team to identify resources and lead/manage the engineering team in the matrix organisation. Qualifications Record of planning and delivery of complex programmes with client and regulatory engagement. Knowledge of power stations (or equivalently large‑scale infrastructure). Experience leading multi‑disciplinary engineering design teams. Experience in at least one of the following areas: cooling water island, civil engineering and site preparation, construction readiness and planning, nuclear island. Salary and Benefits Salary between £68,000 – £90,000 DOE. Annual short‑term incentive bonus, performance‑based, target opportunity 17 %. Benefits allowance £5,000 for bespoke package. Pension: 12 % employer + 6 % employee contributions. Holidays: 28 days + public holidays, with option to buy or sell up to 4 days. Private medical insurance (BUPA single cover).
