Solution Architect

We have a new opportunity to be part of our IT team in the role of Solution Architect to design solutions that deliver business outcomes, align with the Enterprise Architecture vision, and actively contribute to the Team’s primary objective of consistently being a top three team in the FIA Constructor’s Championship.You will be responsible for:Leading on architecture design of new technology solutions, ensuring that the design aligns with the overall architecture vision, principles and standards, and meets functional and non-functional requirements whilst also focusing on security, performance and risk management.Evaluating and recommending solutions options against requirements, cost, and business benefits.Participating in product selection RFI/RFP processes, providing technical input and solution due diligence.Leading solution design across the Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Product Lifecycle Management transformation.Owning software governance and ensuring all new software in the business is evaluated against our non-functionals and standards.Presenting solution recommendations at the Design Authority and taking ownership of resulting actions.Providing technical guidance to the delivery team for software development, integration, data and low code solutions, e.g., Power Apps.Working with Product Managers to support with architectural design, patterns and best practices with the development of their backlogs and roadmaps.Supporting the creation and maintenance of standards and best practices across the organisation and ensuring that appropriate standards are adhered to.Establishing strong relationships with colleagues and key stakeholders, demonstrating leadership and expertise.Working with stakeholders to understand functional and non-functional requirements.Retaining overall ownership of the solution through design, implementation and transition into operation.What you will need to be successful in this role:Experience with Azure Cloud.Experience with developing in a hybrid environment (Cloud, OnPrem).Excellent working knowledge of design patterns and modelling notations e.g. UML, BPMN.Knowledge of TOGAF.Essential experience in delivering solutions for Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Finance, Supply Chain, HR, CRM) and Product Lifecycle Management systems.Experience in providing technical guidance and leadership.Good knowledge of integration techniques, architecture patterns and non-functional drivers.Good knowledge of data architecture (Big Data, AI/ML), data warehousing and analytics.Excellent experience in technology product selection, assessing options, impact assessment and validation of solution choice against stakeholder requirements.Extensive experience working as a Solution Architect.Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present and communicate technical designs.Excellent problem analysis and resolution skills.To be self-motivated and to motivate others to thrive in a challenging environment.Ability to calmly and confidently work under pressure to achieve targets and deliver results within required timescales.Experience of working in agile delivery.This is a full-time office-based role based at our campus in Silverstone, with additional requirement to travel to other locations where necessary.We are a business that fosters a supportive, inclusive, and compassionate culture, where our team genuinely embodies our core values: Growth, Readiness, Empowerment, Excellence, and Nurturing.Aston Martin Formula One Team is committed to attracting, recruiting, and retaining the most talented individuals, regardless of age, disability, gender identity, gender expression, gender reassignment, marital or civil partnership status, pregnancy or maternity, race, religion, belief, sex or sexual orientation.
