Workflow Optimisation Administrator/Admin AssistantWe are looking for a Workflow OptimisationAdministrator/Admin Assistant join our friendly and busy GP Practice.This role is offered on a part-time basis for 30.5 hours per week.The work pattern will be Monday 8.00 to 5.30, Tuesday, 8.00 to 5.30, Wednesday1.00 to 5.00 and Friday 8.00 to 5.00.Main duties of the jobThe post holder will provide administrative support to theClinical Team by streamlining the flow of clinical correspondence through theorganisation by reducing the number of letters that the GP's need toprocess.You will also be required to carry out a range of otheradministrative jobs to include monitoring of the Practice administration emailaccount, filing and scanning of incoming documents and telephone tasks for thePractice.We are looking for someone with previous workflowexperience, who has strong IT skills and who can workefficiently andaccurately. You must also be able to work bothautonomously and as part of a team.About usWe are a large, friendly forward thinking Practice lookingafter over 24,000 patients in and around Herne Bay. We are based over two sites and have a largeteam of staff all working together to provide a high standard of person centredcare for our patients.We are flexible, friendly Practice and ensuring our employees arehappy in the workplace is an important value to us.Job responsibilitiesThe main duties of the job:To follow the Practice Workflow Optimisation ProtocolRead all documents and incoming patient correspondenceHighlight and action all requests and signpost to the appropriate teamsCode all relevant diagnosisDecide whether the document is suitable for file and completion or whether further action is requiredScan patient correspondence one the medical record and workflow to correct routeMonitor Practice email account and action accordinglyContact patients to organise appointments, further tests at the request of the GPsPerson SpecificationQualificationsMaths and English GCSE (or equivalent)AMSPAR Medical Terminology qualificationExperienceExperience of workflow, processes and document handlingExperience of clinical codingExperience of using IT systems in a healthcare setting including EMISExperience of working in a busy office environmentExperience of working in a GP PracticeDisclosure and Barring Service CheckThis post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions. #J-18808-Ljbffr
