About the Role We are seeking a proactive and influential clinical leader to take responsibility for the effective day‑to‑day organisation and delivery of patient care in our busy Cancer Assessment Unit and Cancer Telephone Triage Hotline service. You will provide the highest standard of holistic patient care in conjunction with the inter‑professional team, acting as a professional role model & clinical teacher. Key Responsibilities Providing expert clinical leadership and management for nursing and associated staff. Ensuring high standards of care are monitored and promoted, and patient experience is central to decision‑making. Mentoring supervising staff, participating in the education and training of the nursing team. Acting as a proficient practitioner & a resource to other clinical areas for your specialist knowledge. Leading the team of registered nurses, nursing associates, health care support workers and student nurses in delivering safe, effective care to patients within the Cancer Assessment Unit (CAU) in collaboration with the medical and wider MDT teams, ensuring a high‑quality service to patients. Having overall responsibility for the Chemotherapy Hotline service, ensuring it is adequately resourced, and auditing the service provided. About You You will be an experienced oncology nurse with current UK professional registration (NMC) and a wide range of managerial skills. Educated to degree level you will have evidence of continued professional development &a passion for the patient experience.
