Position Learning Support Assistant (Full-time/Part-time). Permanent contract. 31.25 hours, Monday-Friday. Working location: Lansdowne Primary Academy, Tilbury, Essex, RM18 7QB. Closing date: 8 December 2025. Overview We are looking to appoint a strong, enthusiastic, committed and creative classroom‑based Learning Support Assistant. The successful candidate will work flexibly, taking direction from the class teachers and SENCo, adapting and planning activities to support pupils’ learning and development. Responsibilities Provide small‑group support and intervention for SEND pupils. Plan, deliver and assess learning activities in literacy, numeracy and behaviour. Write up necessary observations and monitor pupils’ progress. Support the emotional and social development of young people. Use initiative and work collaboratively with teachers and SENCo. Qualifications and Experience NVQ Level 2 or equivalent (or equivalent teaching experience). Good standard of education; Maths and English GCSE grades A‑C (or equivalent). Excellent classroom support skills in literacy, numeracy and behaviour. Strong organisational and interpersonal skills. Good knowledge of ICT.
