Ward Clerk - Paediatrics Go back Doncaster & Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS FT Closing date: 05 December 2025 This is a fantastic opportunity for self‑motivated individuals to join our existing team to provide efficient admin and clerical support to the Paediatric Service, whilst primarily based at Doncaster Royal Infirmary. There will be an expectation to work across sites as and when required by management. The working pattern at Bassetlaw is Monday – Sunday up to 5pm. Whilst Doncaster covers various shifts Monday – Sunday up to 10pm at night. This post will include working alternate weekends at Bassetlaw Hospital. Main duties of the job You must have excellent inter‑person skills and be able to work both alone and as part of a team. This post demands a candidate who pays attention to detail, is well organised and flexible. A good standard of education is essential, with minimum GCSE Grade C (or equivalent) in both Maths and English. You must be IT Literate. The post holder will be responsible for providing an effective and well‑organised administration/reception service primarily to the Children's Observation Unit. There will be an expectation to work as part of a wider team of ward clerks within Paediatrics to cover other areas within the Service as and when required.
