If you are an experienced Residential Worker looking for a clear pathway into management, a Senior Residential Support Worker role with Compass could be perfect for you. Qualifications Age 22 years or above (to meet Ofsted regulations). NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Children's and Young People Workforce. At least 2 years of experience within residential childcare and working alongside young people. Valid manual driving licence. Responsibilities Teach children to build self‑esteem and accept themselves, supporting their journey into adulthood. Use life skills to create positive relationships, meet their needs and safeguard them at all times. Engage with a variety of children and young people, some of whom may require high levels of supervision and support. As a leader, supervise staff, lead shifts, manage policies, procedures, risk assessments, rotate schedules, and ensure placement plans are followed and education is supported. Ensure the welfare and care of each child and give guidance and support to all residential workers. Benefits £50 per sleep‑in. “Passport to Manage” training, enabling you to gain Level 5 for clear management progression. £100 bonus for achieving a ‘Good’ Ofsted outcome for the home and £200 bonus for achieving ‘Outstanding’. Service awards: £200 after 2 years, £400 after 5 years, and £600 after 10 years, plus up to £500 special recognition award for outstanding practice. 224 hours holiday, increasing to 248 hours after 4 years of working with us. Additional 3.5 days of leave: one for your birthday, one for health and wellbeing, one to volunteer, and a half day for festive celebrations. Cash back for medical and wellbeing appointments such as dental treatment/check‑ups, optical care, physiotherapy and more via MediCash. Company pension scheme.
