The roleCarlisle Support Services is looking for a Control Room Manager for one of our prestigious clients who will be responsible for overseeing the operations of the security control room, ensuring effective monitoring, incident response, and coordination of security activities across the estate.Your core roleYour core role will include but not be limited to the following activities:Support the set up and development of a new control room operationOversee the 24/7 monitoring of CCTV systems, fire panels, and alarm systems, ensuring all activations are correctly identified and responded to.Ensure all reported security incidents—via radio, phone, reporting app, or in-person—are promptly and effectively addressed.Ensuring swift and effective crisis management and incident responseCoordinate emergency response efforts, liaising with law enforcement, emergency services, and internal stakeholders.Ensure all control room staff are trained to respond to incidents, including fire, bomb threats, and security breaches.Conduct regular knowledge tests for all staff to ensure ongoing competence in crisis management and security monitoring.Organise and run simulated emergency exercises to assess team readiness and improve response protocols.Ensure all business recovery and contingency plans are current and easily accessible within the control room.Support the creation and implementation of new security policies and procedures for the control room and wider security team.Draft detailed security reports, incident logs, and procedural updates to maintain compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.Mentor and develop Control Room personnel to support the effective implementation of policies and procedures, with a particular focus on producing accurate, comprehensive reporting and professional entries within the security management system.Establish and lead a high-performing control room team, ensuring optimal staffing levels and efficient shift coverage.Prepare duty rosters and manage scheduling to meet operational demands, ensuring minimal shortfalls in staffing.Ensure the correct use and maintenance of electronic security systems, including CCTV, access control, and alarm monitoring software.Stay up to date with the latest security technologies, industry trends, and compliance regulations.Lead on GDPR compliance within the Control Room, ensuring all team members adhere to data protection regulations and support the development and implementation of relevant policies and proceduresThe ideal candidateExperience in security control room management within a high-risk, fast-paced environment.Strong background in incident management, crisis response, and emergency planning.Experience in writing security procedures, reports, and business cases.Familiarity with CCTV monitoring, fire alarm panels, access control, and other security technologies.Proficiency in MS Office and security management software.Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills.Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick, effective decisions during emergencies.The benefitsHealth and Wellbeing Plans23 days paid holiday increasing to 25 after 2 yearsDiscounts and CashbacksPaid Volunteering daysEmployee Assistance ProgramRefer a Friend SchemeCycle to Work SchemeBonusSuccessful candidates will be required to provide original documentation for detailed screening and vetting processes.This could include the following: passport / driving licence / utility bill dated in the last 3 months / HMRC letter / original bank statement / original payslip / birth certificate / a valid share code.About usJoin a growing market-leading brand of support services to work with the UK’s largest brands such as Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Jaguar Land Rover, Tesco, BBC StudioWorks, and many more.Carlisle currently employees over 5,000 dedicated and enthusiastic staff members to deliver events, security cleaning, and retail facilities support services across the UK’s most renowned sites and critical infrastructure.Apply today to find out more and embark on an exciting career journey filled with unrivalled recognition schemes and progression opportunities aimed at helping you achieve your true potential.Equality, Diversity, and InclusionAt Carlisle, we are committed to Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion in all areas of employment, recruitment and selection, training, development, and promotion.In all situations people will be judged solely on merit or ability. #J-18808-Ljbffr
